Our Philosophy

Hayley Ann Dance Academy encourages each child's individuality, growth and independence. Our goal is for our students to embrace their uniqueness in safe place they can call home. Somewhere students can let out their emotions and leave everything on the dance floor. We all share a passion for dance, we want to develop and enhance that passion and turn dance as a way to escape from reality and find the importance of the story of their number. We want all our dancers to understand what their dance is about so that they can emotionally connect to it.

We understand that every child has their strengths and weaknesses. The world is full of different people, races, cultures and sexuality. If we did not have these types of things in the world, everyone would be the same person, there would be no difference, no originality. We believe that every child moves differently in their body and different movements work better for that child. Hayley Ann Dance Academy will never compare two children together. We will encourage individuality and independence. We will always give that child a person to talk to, we will never dismiss an upset student. Self-confidence and self-acceptance are the number one state of mind a dancer should have. We cannot bare to see any dancer put themselves or others down.

Hayley Ann Dance Academy focuses on recreational students, at all levels. In the future we want multiple levels for each class. We find that studios focus more on their competitive students and less on their recreational students. Which we do not believe in. We believe that every child no matter their skills or willingness to compete should not determine their dance training. Yes, competitive students go to competition and represent your studio but so does recreational students. That is why we want to offer multiple level recreational classes to every age. If that does not make us different, I do not know what will.

But we have more, we also find a lot of dancers to dance the exact same with little originality. Example you will see two solos from the same dance studio and they look the same just a different dancer, costume and music. We inspire and encourage individuality and originality in students. Keep in mind that the basic technique will always stay the same between dancers as those are the basics and we can not shy away from that.

Hayley Ladouceur

Meet Ms. Hayley, the owner and main teacher at Hayley Ann Dance Academy.

She has accomplished many opportunities in her dance career. She completed a 4 year dance program and in that program she learned various dance styles to enhance her dance training. She also performed with The National Ballet production The Nutcracker.

She started assisting and teaching at her previous dance studios. As well as doing that, she taught at The Ice Palace in Georgina and there she taught Ballet, Hiphop and Acro for 3 years.

In those 3 years she saw so much more potential in every single dancer that she decided to open Hayley Ann Dance Academy.
